ABOUT
Are We Still Rolling is the production work of writer and director Monica Hosseini.
It focuses on psychological tension, satire, and the quiet absurdities of modern behavior.
FEATURED WORK
A woman’s refund request is denied right before she’s supposed to meet her fiancé’s parents, and a minor inconvenience turns into an absurd standoff. A passing annoyance becomes a power struggle built on pride, image, and the need to be right. Refund Policy is a darkly comic satire of entitlement and ego, staged with the paranoia and tension of a psychological thriller.
THE DIRECTOR
Monica Hosseini is an Iranian-Canadian, self-taught writer-director based in Toronto. Her debut short, Refund Policy, is a satirical comedy in which a trivial refund dispute spirals into the absurd as entitlement and image take over. She makes performance-focused films with clean composition, sharp timing, and dry humor about ego, status, and the need to be “right.”
